Nut Brothers Peanut Butter

I’ve always loved a good peanut butter and have been a huge fan of Pic’s nut butters, but recently something else came into my life. I have to confess that I have become quickly addicted. Damn. It’s the Nut Brothers Smokin’ Chipotle Peanut Butter. It’s a little fiery though it won’t blow your head off, and it has just the right amount of smoke – by that I mean you can taste things other than smoke. I started with a dollop of it on sourdough bread with a few slices of tomato on top. Mmmm. Very nice. I progressed to using it on toast and crackers with whatever leftovers I could find, and as a dip with things that aren’t meant to be dipped (in other words, I had to dig things out, eating all the bits and clinging peanut butter as I went), then I tried it with tortillas, fried eggs and coriander (cilantro), in wraps with leftover roast chicken … it seemed there was a place for it every day.

I was way too scared to try the Salted Caramel version, but of course, in went the spoon, and YEP, double addiction. You know those nights curled up in front of the TV, cat on lap, when you wish you had something ANYTHING sweet to nibble on, but the cupboard is bare? Dump the cat, get up and get the jar of salted caramel peanut butter and dig in. In truth, two spoonsful’s will do it. Per hour. Perhaps it is best to leave the jar in the kitchen so at least you get some exercise padding to the kitchen for a refill.

Nut Brothers Peanut Butters are made with ‘high oleic Argentinian Peanuts’. I’m not sure if that means the peanuts are stoned, or picked from high up in the mountains … but they are gluten-free and vegan friendly, and simply damned delicious.
