YES! The weather calmed down enough for the digger to come and do what it does best: DIG. A path was flattened to the house site and a truck dumped gravel to be sure the trucks would have enough grip to come in and out laden with dirt and vegetation.
The garden shed was moved out of the way, to be re-sited at a later date, and the trimmed flax plants were dug up and moved to the site for replanting.
It looks a bit different to last week that’s all I can say!
Yay! The Te Matuku Oyster Festival is on this Saturday (it had to be moved from earlier in October due to inclement weather and soggy grounds!). It’ll be held at Rangihoua Olive Estate as planned. It’s a great day (12pm-5.00pm), with music by Mojo Risers and ROOK, and demonstrations by Paulie Hooton from The Oyster…
Expect plenty of music, dancing, laughter, oodles of food and plenty of ‘Ciao Bella’s and treble cheek-kissing.
Who has time to make sugared rose petals? I do. Come along to the cooking class and I will make them for you.
