I’m finishing early this year and this will be the last newsletter for 2021. Like most people, I’ve had enough of 2021. I’m unusually tired, and a bit worn down by certain things, and inclined to be a bit grumpy at times. I’m over hearing constant bad news and absolutely over hearing and seeing people expressing themselves in mean and aggressive ways. I’ve tried to remain positive, though I often despair for my children, my family, others in the world, and the world itself. Many of you will have similar sentiments. I think we all deserve time to chill out somewhere, to cut the constant ‘noise’, the crap, the complaining. To take time to listen to the birds chattering, children laughing, and a cliché it may be, but to stop and smell the roses. Yeah! Regardless of your political opinions, we are being shepherded through the most difficult of times. We need to reflect on how lucky we are to live in this country. It’s not perfect, nothing is, but we are definitely so very lucky. Thank you Shared Kitchen readers. We’ve enjoyed sharing our lives, our kitchens and our thoughts with you this year, and we hope we have provided ideas, information and inspiration.
Merry Christmas to you all and your families. We’ll be back sometime in January 2022.
Cheers Julie & Ilaria
