I follow your recipes because I’m inspired by you!
As I am just about computer illiterate I would very much like you to share my email with your readers if you wanted, so hence my email to you, can’t do Facebook, twitter and the rest.
I am not a cook – can’t follow recipes but since being lucky enough to be one of your subscribers, I really look forward to your weekly email.
I follow your recipes because I’m inspired by you as a person and your way of explaining your recipes, easy! And the food is divine, cooked perfectly as followed by your simple instructions.
Many of your readers will be good cooks I was not one of those until now. I guess I am a foodie!
Your comments are truly inspirational so thank you for being one of those gems we rarely see in media, you are a true blue.

I would like to say your cookbook… is soo good!
Dear Julie and Ilaria,
I would like to say your cookbook that I invested in and had personally signed at the Blenheim Book Festival is soo good. My or should I say our favourites so far are:
1. Eggplant and Date Salad… I’ve never eaten eggplant before and now I can’t get enough of it!
2. Mushroom Burgers—These were exquisite…I added black garlic butter (just saying) to the mushroom as it had just finished cooking on the bbq …whow!!!
3. Moroccan Orange and Preserved Lemon Salad—This looks amazing – easy and a crowd pleaser.
4. Lastly, The Haloumi and Watermelon Salad—So refreshing and is good even without the cashews and chilies if you don’t happen to have them. I have a watermelon sitting in the fridge ready for another.
Kind regards

Thank you for this wonderful start to the day!
Julie!!! The Persimmon & Feta Salad is the most beautiful composition I’ve ever seen! Truly gorgeous! And the roasted lamb – I’m losing my mind!!! Now I’ve got to have a dinner party!

Have made so many of your recipes over the years!
Love getting your Wednesday blog – have made so many of your recipes over the years!
Thanks so much Julie, appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Today I made the almond chocolate cake from Capri – my coronation cake! – but I think it’ll be gone before Saturday so I’ll have to make another one! Another cake I’ve made several times recently is your coffee date and walnut – that’s a real beauty 😋

“Slay” from the younger members
Hi Julie,
Thank you for your very positive response to the Coronation Quiche which I too think is a great idea and I intend making one next weekend. I think a lot of people do not realise that you should shell the broad beans and the inner bean is delicious.
I think the Quiche is very inclusive for Vegetarians and despite the egg shortage it can be made with different types of cheese.
Also I made your Pear Ginger dessert for an Easter Family dinner. The response was “Slay” from the younger members. I think it means awesome.
I enjoy reading your newsletters too.
Many thanks.

Loving your emails
Hi Julie et al,
so many thanks for this.
Loving your emails (diatribes) about life in general. I visited friends who live on Waiheke Island and was very aware of the supply issues.
All the best

We are looking forward to dinner!
Hi Julie,
Great timing, thank you! I have prepared the Potato and Chorizo dish, no fennel so carrots, green pepper and red pepper. Tomatoes and herbs from my Wellington garden. I chopped up a Freedom Farms Chorizo instead of whole ones as that’s what I had!

Just want to say how much I enjoyed your Cavolo Nero with Ginger & Pine Nuts from your Shared Kitchen Cook Book.
Thank you.

I love the soup and the Linzertorte
Dear Julie, I love your rant in your latest Shared Kitchen newsletter. I mean, I love the soup and the Linzertorte too – they look scrummy – but the rant is especially good. So many times I have had a similar experience. Especially in the building industry – architects, banks, consultants and builders all refer firstly to the MAN, even though he is in an equal partnership with the woman (who happens to be over 50). I feel a revolution coming on…

Loved your ROAR today
Loved your ROAR today. And in the spirit of roaring I send you this. Don’t know if you’re a Joni Mitchell fan but this is a roar too.
You keep doing you. And thank you.

Simple and delicious!
Hi Julie
I read Shared Kitchen yesterday afternoon and realised I had a cauliflower waiting in the fridge. So, I made the spicy cauliflower dish. Simple and delicious! Thank you.

I made your meatballs tonight and they were delicious!
Hi Julie, I have to let you know that I made your meatballs tonight and they were delicious. I usually find them bland and disappointing but this recipe is a game-changer for me.
