This is one of those kind-to-the-cook dishes that must be made in advance though at its stunning best while still warm from the pan.
Scrumptious little morsels to add to a tapas feast.
Make sure the prawns you throw on the barbie are up to scratch.
Throw some Spanish piquillo peppers or char-grilled bell pepper, black olives and a smattering of orange zest on top of this casserole and things become wildly exotic!
Whoop-de-whoop! Chicken, chorizo, smoked paprika, char-grilled red pepper, orange & olives … all you need is a fork!
Whoa – here’s an easy one. Spag with clams, spiked with chorizo. A great midweek meal. Fast & fabulous.
I can never work out whether celebrating the last day of the year is more fun than celebrating the first day of a new year – it generally depends on what ungodly hour my head hits the pillow after seeing in the new year. But once I’m up and pottering, tea and toast won’t cut it – I’m after the full monty combo of carbs, fat, salt and chilli. It’s the best way to clear the cobwebs I reckon.
Serve olives to nibble while preparing, good bread to serve alongside and a glass or two of the doctor’s medicine (Rioja) to wash it down. It’s like bringing Spain to your place.
