Queen’s Birthday weekend at Te Whau Lodge

Come and enjoy a special few days at Te Whau Lodge on Waiheke Island over Queen’s Birthday weekend

I’ll be working with Judy and Grant, the gorgeous new owners of Te Whau Lodge, and hosting a seasonal 5-course dinner at Te Whau Lodge on Saturday 3rd June.

Your indulgent weekend begins early Saturday afternoon when you are collected from the ferry and whisked to the secluded and luxurious Te Whau Lodge, where you will be stationed for the weekend. The afternoon is free to visit local art galleries or our island ceramics studio, to book a massage, take a luxurious walk on the beach, or try some of the island’s wines. I’ll be at the Lodge early Saturday evening cooking a sumptuous 5-course dinner for you.

On Sunday there is an option to join me for a foodie tour and to taste a little of what Waiheke is famous for, starting with an olive oil tasting – the olives are being harvested so you’ll see olives being pressed and taste the new oil on site –followed by a wine tasting and cooking class lunch at my place.

Sunday evening is free – you might just want to sit back and relax and soak up the beautiful views back to Auckland city from the Lodge, or dinner in a local restaurant can be arranged. Monday morning you’ll enjoy a sumptuous late breakfast at the Lodge before departing back to Auckland. For all the details phone Te Whau Lodge direct 09 372 2288. http://www.tewhaulodge.co.nz
