Mix and match
Tacos, tortillas and a can of beans. Get inventive and feed the troops something tasty over the next few days.
With your pantry sorted you only need to shop for fresh items.
Mask on, take your own shopping bags into the supermarket (don’t use a trolley; carrying the shopping around the aisles counts as exercise!).In and out as fast as you are able; sanitise your hands on entry, stick to the left, put items in your own bags, unpack and repack yourself, pay by card (cover the eftpos machine with a piece of plastic wrap you have in your pocket and dispose of after), put shopping in back of car, hand sanitise, unload bags to doorstep (bags don’t come inside), wash hands, unload groceries from bags on doorstep onto bench, put bags back in car, wash hands, wash fresh produce and put all shopping away, wash bench then wash your hands again (that’s if you’ve got any skin left covering them!). Finally, pour yourself a stiff drink. Or make a cup of tea. What an exercise, but we’ll get there.
And note, washing your bench with a clean soapy cloth (use dish detergent) is as effective as a disinfectant spray and a lot kinder to the environment. Anything that ‘dissolves’ oil – think how oily dishes are cleaned with sudsy water – will wash away Covid-19 according to the experts. White wine vinegar might not do the trick.
Stay in your bubble and be nice to each other.

Good advice Julia. Stay well yourself eh!

Loved the black bean and orange salad, added red pepper and a stick of celery and served it with the avocado cream but used a mayonnaise instead of joghurt. Went down really well with the family and so easy
That’s great Barbara. The orange adds such freshness, and I can imagine the red pepper made a great contrast.
