Discover Food, Wine and Wildlife with Julie Biuso

I have some exciting news to share. I will be hosting a special food, wine and wildlife tour to South Africa later this year (10th October – 23rd October). What a combination! I’ll say it again: FOOD, WINE AND WILDLIFE!

The tour will focus on the southwestern tip of Africa, specifically Cape Town and the Western Cape. The scenery is breathtaking. The wines are exceptional. The food is top-notch. And did I mention the wildlife? We will stay at the Gondwana Lodge Luxury Reserve and embark on safaris to a Private Game Park to observe the Big Five Safari animals – lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino, and leopard – while also spotting herds of wild animals, including eland, giraffe, hippo, cheetah, and zebra. What a spectacle! What an incredible experience! But what’s an eland? Haha. It’s an antelope!

This will be my first visit to South Africa, a place I have long wanted to visit. The tour includes all my top choices: hands-on cooking classes with local experts, wine tastings at premier vineyards, dinners at esteemed restaurants specialising in locally sourced and indigenous cuisines, visits to Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned), scenic spots, galleries, and botanical gardens, the aforementioned safari adventures, and whale watching.
