Tamarillo Verrines
A verrine is a combination of ingredients assembled in layers in a small glass or jar to show off colours and textures. You could say it’s just the fancy-pants way of presenting food, and you would be right! Still, it looks pretty, and inviting, and turns an ordinary breakfast into something a little more special.
Layer plain yoghurt – regular or thick Greek yoghurt – with sugared tamarillos and homemade muesli. Finish the top with a sprinkle of muesli and serve. The verrines can be assembled several hours ahead of serving, but add the final sprinkle of muesli on top just before serving to ensure it stays nice and crunchy.
