Cute little pies!

Here’s how to show off roasted beef!

Simple, and simply sublime.

Smoky, sweet and spicy, these eggs are just the buzz for breakfast, brunch, lunch or supper.

This soup is a beauty. It used up half a dozen cans of my Covid stock of beans and tomatoes in the tests, and I was thankful for that, but it is the flavours I love, especially the day after making. It seems richer and tastier then

This is one of my favourite corn chowders adapted from a summer sweet corn soup recipe I used to make for the kids when they were little. They couldn’t get enough of it!

The frittata is at its best while still warm, about 1 hour after making. That makes it the perfect do-ahead dish.

Oh, this is more than a usual chicken sandwich made with bits and bobs picked off a roasted chicken carcass … this is chicken sandwich deluxe!

Expect oohs and ahhs. Expect pigging out, in the nicest way of course (no double-dipping allowed!). Expect the platters to be wiped clean in. This is scrumptious beyond description.

Peaches lend their juicy texture and peachy fragrance to a much loved dip and transform it into summer in a bowl.

Roll on lazy weekend … this is the perfect dish to go with bread and salad, a quiche or tart.

Like a blast of cold air from a fan up your shirt or skirt on a sweltering day … Yup! Icy cold gazpacho is exhilarating!

Add this bowl of sunshine to your summer repertoire.

The sun was shining, the grill was on, and so I charred some sourdough.

Sublime, simply sublime.

Enriching a basic bread dough with olive oil gives a soft, open-textured bread that is sublime for tearing apart and thrusting into soft, fragrant mounds of hummus, beetroot or bean purée or just more olive oil.

This is THE dish for a summery lunch in the shade, or to share with friends on a summer’s evening.

Lovely and golden, crispy-tipped, and savoury notes from parmesan and rosemary. Definitely worth making!

It’s summertime, sum, sum, sum, sum SUMMER-TIME! Burgertime! Eat outdoor time! Yeah.

This is a crowd pleaser when you’re stuffed after a day at the beach, the kids are squealing and everyone wants feeding NOW. Get the work done ahead, or use leftovers, and kids onto them!

ALERT: Colour Riot! Bring on the food police – they’ll give this one the thumbs up!

Sweet and sharp, that’s my baby!

No matter the season – here is the reason to eat a cheesy gratin (asparagus in spring, broccolini in winter).

POP! If the colours don’t get you excited, the taste certainly will. It’s love!
