Grab the last of the strawberries before they’re gone!

Here’s a delightful Rosé spritzer for a summer’s eve. Not only will it make your wine go further, and mean you can have more drinks because you are drinking wine at half strength, but it tastes delicious!

Bruise a handful of kaffir lime leaves – yes, yes, you’ve got to have these BUT if you don’t have them, use a couple of unblemished lemon tree leaves and several strips of lime peel – and put them in the bottom of a jug. Slice a washed and dried white peach or nectarine – and choose a ripe juicy one – and a handful of late summer strawberries, also sliced. Add large cubes of ice (the ice is to chill the drink more than dilute it, so don’t use crushed ice). Pour in half a bottle of Rosé and top up with soda water (50-50 or 70 rosé 30 soda), swirl and serve. Delicious!
