Welcome to the new Shared Kitchen

Shared Kitchen old cutlery

After months of planning we’re super excited to bring you our new-look newsletter, which also has all the links to introduce you to our brand new website. We hope you are going to get hours of enjoyment from it, and that it brings you loads of culinary inspiration.

The new Shared Kitchen website has many new features, but it is also structured in a different way. While there are still features that are free for everyone to click on and enjoy, there is now plenty of additional premium content which will give paid subscribers a deeper experience. Why move from all-free content to a pay-wall model, you may ask? There’s no fun in it for you if we stand still. We want to keep improving, to keep up with trends and innovations, and to offer you more fabulous content. And we needed to find a suitable model to move forward. The cost of running a professional food website these days with all the digital platforms required is substantial. Rather than throwing unwelcome ads at you on every page we’ve chosen to go with the subscription model.

More for Premium Members

Over the past 10 years we have built up a huge resource of recipes, images, blog posts, interviews and food knowledge to share with you. There will always be around 100 free recipes on the Shared Kitchen site. The remaining 1,700-plus recipes and the food archives will now move to the premium side. This section of the website, which we are calling Premium Membership, gives you unlimited access to all the content on Shared Kitchen, including all new content added monthly, which will be substantial, and all the new features, including how-to videos. Premium Members will also be able to take advantage of a discounted rate on ‘Julie’s Consultancy Hotline’. This is where you can book a time for food, culinary and party planning advice, or for help when doing up your kitchen. Premium Members will also be able to take advantage of various offers and discounts that will pop up in the Shared Kitchen Shop from time to time. And there is plenty more with a Premium Membership. Click here to find out more.

Subscribe and win

To kick off the launch of our Premium Membership, the first 50 people worldwide to take out a paid annual subscription will receive a complimentary 100% cotton Shared Kitchen tea towel (RRP NZ$16.00).

And we’ve teamed up with Sabato New Zealand’s leading food importer of exquisite products, and all New Zealand paid subscribers will go in the draw to win a wonderful hamper stuffed full of Sabato’s gorgeous products.

So, click on the free recipe or blog post below and have a scoot around our new website. To join us and become a Premium Member, click on one of the Subscription buttons to subscribe.

If you want to continue as a free subscriber, you don’t have to do anything; the Shared Kitchen newsletter will pop up in your inbox next month.

Phew. Now let’s get cooking!
