There are some people who won’t make pastry because they hate getting dough under their fingernails. If that’s you, I’ve got just the tool!

This tool is worth having. It easily removes stones (pits) from cherries and olives.
Fresh kaffir lime leaves smell somewhat sweeter than lime zest – sharp, citrusy and clean.
Sherry vinegar has nuances of roasted nuts, oaky notes from the barrels it is matured in, and sweet floral spices. Add a splash to the pan to lift flavours.
